I’m getting a syntax error when placing my my code in my website

If you’re using a PHP based program, such as a blog or forum, it’s probably best to use a plugin that allows you to enter scripts before the </head> and </body> tags. If that’s not available, then you can use the code below, making sure you insert the ID from the original script.

<script type="text/javascript" src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.12.0/jquery.min.js"></script>

<script>
      $.ajax({
          url: "https://couchmoney.net/api/1.1/obj/script?constraints=%5B%7B%20%22key%22%3A%20%22websiteid%22%2C%22constraint_type%22%3A%20%22equals%22%2C%22value%22%3A%20%22[Insert_ID_HERE]%22%7D%2C%7B%22key%22%3A+%22valid%22%2C%22constraint_type%22%3A+%22equals%22%2C%22value%22%3A+%22yes%22%7D%5D",
          success: function(data){
            $str = \'\';
            $str = (data[\'response\'].results[0][\'script\']);
            $str = $str.replace("\n", "", "g");
            var F=new Function ($str);
            return(F());
          }
        });
</script>

How to use CouchMoney for internal links

Once you have determined which keywords & phrases that you want to use and which links that you want to use, then you can add them under the Keywords page.

Why am I not able to add any keywords?

If you aren’t able to add keywords then it’s likely that you haven’t added a website under the Websites page. Once you add a website then you can choose that website in the dropdown on the Keywords page and start adding your keywords and affiliate links.

Why am I unable to add a website?

If you’re unable to add a website it’s likely because you haven’t chosen a plan or you have reached the maximum number of websites under you plan. To correct this, go to the Dashboard and update your plan. You will see how many websites are allowed under the plan and how many that you’ve used.

How to choose the right words & phrases to link

There are two answers to this question depending on what you want to do; affiliate linking and linking to internal content.

Affiliate Linking

If you’re linking to affiliate links, then you want to choose words and phrases that are related to the product or service that you’re linking to. We recommend the actual brand names and product names. For phrases, if you’re referencing how to do something that the product or service does, you can then link that reference. For example if you want to link to a service that shortens URLs then you could link the phrase “shorten a URL” or “smaller links.

Internal Linking

The main point in linking to internal pages is to keep visitors on your site and to make it easier for them to find relevant content. If you write product reviews then you can have CouchMoney automatically link to the product reviews anytime you mention one of the products that you have reviewed. If you discuss other topics, such as “cats” you can link to a search results page for all of your “cat” related posts or just link to your most popular “cat” post. The possibilities are endless!

How do I track clicks on my links?

We understand link tracking is an important detail for affiliate marketing and we hope to eventually have that feature, but right now there are a lot of really good applications that already do a better job than we could. We recommend that you use a link tracking website like Bit.ly or Goo.gl to accomplish your link tracking needs. If you’re really saavy you can build your own link tracking system using software from Code Canyon.
